Dreamtime comes alive in Melbourne
The Dreamtime Conference is Tourism Australia’s signature trade marketing event. Wacky Creative were delighted to work alongside event managers Peter Jones Special Events to produce entertainment for the business sessions and Gala Dinner.
Working to Tourism Australia’s theme of ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ we supplied a wide range of themed and local acts to engage and entertain delegates. Nic Yates MC welcomed guests and facilitated the official opening of the business sessions with the Wacky Stockmen riding through the crowd and leading delegates to the first session.
The Gala was a spectacular event held at the Regent Plaza Ballroom. The feature entertainment concept was built around delegate requests to bring their ultimate incentive wish to life. Delegates submitted their incentive wishes prior to the event and using stunning projections, props, costumes and professional talent we brought them to life. We had the Indian delegates dancing Bollywood on the Gold Coast, Koreans dancing Gangnam Style at the Opera House, British playing Long Way to the Top on bagpipes at the MCG accompanied by a 30 piece bagpipe band marching down the aisles, Aussies dressed as Pricilla in the outback with an appearance from 100% Kylie and the Chinese delegates playing with a Symphony orchestra in the Barossa Valley ending with a real glass of Grange Hermitage.
The feature came to a close with everyone in the room dancing in the Aisles to the sounds of Love is in the Air performed live by John Paul Young.
Dreamtime is off to Adelaide later this year so we hope to see you there!
